Educational Revival: GA Foundation Reaches Out to QIC Primary School, Nung Ukot Itam

As part of "Kick for Health," GA Foundation revitalized Itam Primary School, transforming its dilapidated infrastructure into a conducive learning environment. Volunteers repainted classrooms, repaired broken desks, and donated 300 textbooks and stationery to boost literacy. Headteacher Grace Okon expressed gratitude: "Our pupils now have pride in their school. The new books will help us teach better." The team also conducted health education sessions, teaching children proper handwashing techniques and nutrition basics. A highlight was the donation of a football kit to the school’s team, tying into the event’s sports-for-health theme. "Football keeps us fit and happy!" exclaimed 10-year-old pupil Emmanuel Edet during a friendly match organized by volunteers.
